Design Team Summer Intern

Oldcastle APG is looking for a quick and detail-driven design intern. Duties include technical execution of various marketing pieces, collaboratively and proactively supporting fellow designers, and juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, environment. Must have hands-on experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, PhotoShop and InDesign).
 
Key Objectives and Responsibilities
 
  • Create solutions under the direction of creative lead following style guides and templates.
  • Revise and proof files accurately and efficiently through multiple rounds of review, coordinating with the designers, brand team and field marketers to implement changes.
  • Image manipulation to include PhotoShop retouching, and simple color correction.
  • Maintain constant communication with Team Leads regarding project status.
  • Prepare for presentations including printing/binding of materials and mounting presentation boards as necessary.
 
Additional Skills/Qualifications
 
  • Pursuing a degree in a creative field, graphic design major preferred
  • Junior or senior level preferred
  • Creative visual storyteller with an eye for aesthetics; basic knowledge of type styling, layout design and branding
  • Passion for learning and growing; welcomes feedback and improvement
  • Adaptable; ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Basic understanding (or willingness to learn) Microsoft Office Suite (PPT, DOCX, XLSX, etc)
  • Great communication skills; team player who thrives in a collaborative project environment with ongoing deadlines
  • Demonstrate initiative, conscientiousness and complete follow-through in areas of responsibility
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present ideas, facts and recommendations
  • Paid internship available with adequate prior experience
