Branding and Marketing Intern
Preseason is a branding agency helping college athletics programs own their brand, increase engagement, and surpass the competition. Our messaging and visuals drive content that is designed to convert. From recruits to donors, we help colleges win.
As an intern, you'll be completely hands-on while fully remote. Our goal is to serve up an authentic agency experience for you, all while in the world of college athletics. If you're a college athlete or simply passionate about sports, you're the perfect fit for our team.
Branding/Marketing Intern Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in communicating with clients and accounts.
- Support marketing campaign planning and execution.
- Write copy for social media posts, emails, and other marketing collateral.
- Collaborate on the design and creation of print and digital marketing collateral.
- Participate in branding brainstorming sessions.
- Take part in training opportunities.
- Measure and report the results of branding/marketing initiatives.
Hours & Benefits:
- Internship program can apply toward credit, if university or college allows.
- Stipend available, commensurate with experience.
- Weekly hours are typically five (5) to ten (10) hours per week.
- As a remote team, we don't believe you need to be "on the clock" for a set time. We'll work with your flexible schedule.
Branding/Marketing Intern Qualifications / Skills:
- Applied understanding of basic marketing principles
- Familiarity with major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, etc.)
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Self-starter with ability to work independently
- Comfortable with multitasking in a deadline-driven environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic photography, image and video editing, and graphic design skills
- Able to successfully work in a fully remote environment
- Excellent writing and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Junior or senior, or a recent graduate, seeking a degree in public relations, journalism, communications, marketing or a related field
- Completed some public relations or journalism classes
- Previous intercollegiate athletics or professional sports experience preferred, with an interest in sports marketing as a career path.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, creative, or a related field.
- Successful completion of introductory courses in marketing, business, or equivalent.
- Proficient with the use of Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, Forms).
- Previous experience with the use of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), Canva, and social media management tools (Buffer) a plus.
