Geotechnical Engineer (Entry-level)
NOVA Engineering has an exciting opportunity for a Geotechnical Staff Engineers to join our team in the Kennesaw, GA headquarters. We are looking for recent Civil Engineering graduates or Civil/Geotechnical Engineers who have taken one Soil Mechanics class. Assignments usually include one or more of the following:
- Developing geotechnical scopes of work, field logging, field inspections, field investigations, and overseeing drill rig operations
- Geotechnical calculations, and preparation of reports
- Responsible for preparing project proposals, managing projects, and interfacing directly with clients
The preferred candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
- 0-1+ year of civil/geotechnical engineering experience
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering required
- Must have an EIT license in the US and/or be able to attain licensure within 3 months
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent project management skills and leadership ability
- Availability and willingness to travel (primarily through out metro Atlanta and north Georgia)
