Social Media Producer

Job Summary:
This position creates social media and digital marketing content highlighting the Credit Union's engagement with business partners and creates student and educationally-focused features to drive increased followers on digital platforms. This position works closely with the SVP of Retail, VP of Marketing, the Marketing Promotions & Campaign Manager and the Member Outreach team to help develop and manage corporate strategies, concepts and brand management while driving expanded awareness of EdFed via digital platforms.

Duties & Responsibilities:

·        Under the direction of the VP of Marketing, proactively sources new digital content to publish daily on EdFed’s social media platforms.
·        Develops contests and promotions to increase followers on social media, while providing Credit Union leadership with comprehensive reporting on social media analytics and trends.
·        Publishes three to five new feature stories a week, with additional promotional content, financial tips, and announcements added on an ongoing basis.
·        Monitors social media direct messages, postings, and user reviews via Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Yelp, Google, Glassdoor, and other internet sites to escalate feedback and formulate responses under the direction of the VP of Marketing.
·        Serves as “roving reporter” at all Credit Union promotional, community outreach, and business networking events to obtain new digital content, including evening and weekend assignments.
·        Build and maintain close relationships with key educational leaders within M-DCPS, MDC and the PTA/PTSA.
·        Routinely reviews community events calendars and works with Credit Union leadership to identify opportunities for engagement and participation via social media content.
·        Writes, records, edits, and downloads effective online features, advertisements, informative and instructional materials through a variety of media outlets regarding major M-DCPS, MDC and PTA/PTSA events.
·        Administer meetings with staff, students, educators, professors and PTA/PTSA unit leaders.
·        Works with VP of Marketing and IT leadership to regularly assess technology needs and ensures department resources remain contemporary to business needs.
·        At the discretion of the VP of Marketing, attends social media conferences and educational workshops to continue to expand and calibrate social media strategy.
·        Performs other duties as assigned by management.
 
Requirements:

  • Preferred Associate's Degree or equivalent combination
  • Experience in financial services, preferably within the Credit Union industry
