Account Executive, Enterprise and Emerging Technology PR
Revere (an Edelman agency) is currently operating as a fully remote team spanning Seattle, the Bay Area, Colorado, Chicago, Atlanta, and New York.
In the ever-changing arena of technology and communications, Revere, an Edelman sister agency, is looking for a creative and intelligent PR practitioner to join our growing team as an Account Executive.

We’re looking for a candidate who is hungry to dive into account work, immerse oneself in the business and technology media landscape, and learn the ins and outs of technology PR. The AE will work directly with mid-level and senior staff and will support multiple clients in B2B tech. We’re looking for someone who is agile, determined, and is eager to dive into a fast-paced environment.
The AE must be a critical thinker, have strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to new conditions, assignments, and deadlines. They must have solid knowledge of MS Office Suite, G Suite, Slack and superior verbal and written communication skills. The candidate must demonstrate potential for proficiency in media and social research tools.

The AE is responsible for assisting with managing, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on projects within a specific set of accounts under the direction of the supervisor. You will work closely with and support the needs of the account teams.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in brainstorms, team meetings, industry events
- Identify and analyze media coverage across tech, business, and vertical publications
- Assist with monitoring industry trends and competitive coverage
- Support client launches and closely monitor and create coverage reports
- Develop and update media lists using search and media list building tools (Cision, Factiva, Critical Mention, Muck Rack, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Strategize and help execute media outreach programs by effectively pitching stories via email and verbally to reporters
- Proactively understand and anticipate the needs of journalists/media contacts
- Exercise strategic thinking around media relations and media opportunities through showcasing resourcefulness/alternatives when faced with challenges around media interest
- Contribute to media relations programs tactics by identifying opportunities, coordinating media interviews, sending timely pitch updates to internal team members, capturing coverage once secured, and taking the lead on developing program wrap reports
- Use social media to monitor for industry trends, report on PR results and identify industry influencers
- Develop social copy to promote industry news and owned content
- Conduct and compile research for new business opportunities, particularly in the tech startup market
- Understand key client information, including general business strategy, industry issues, products and services, key customers and competitors in the marketplace
- Support day-to-day account management and serve as a primary point of contact for clients as needed, addressing issues thoughtfully and effectively
- Take immediate action on client feedback
- Write in multiple voices and produce clear, persuasive, content, including messaging, media materials, executive communications and more to help tell client’s stories
- Help set the strategy for communications plans, content strategies, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Strong understanding of and demonstrated experience in strategic communications, public relations or related fields, with 1+ years of full-time experience
- Experience and/or strong interest in technology communications, with special attention focused on enterprise, B2B, or emerging technology
- Proficient organizational, scheduling, and time/project management skills; possess the ability to multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to delegate and accurately judge and edit the work of others
- Prior agency or public affairs experience is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with AP style
