Planned Activities Specialist (Field Engineering) - Orlando, Florida

Responsibilities
The Planned Activities Specialist (PAS) is a strategic entry level position on the Field Engineering Specialist team.  The PAS performs proactive preventative maintenance, installation, and deinstallation activities on the Centralized Diagnostic instrumentation across the Region of Eastern Florida and throughout the Southeast Area.  Our customers are primarily hospital, commercial reference, and physician office laboratories.   The PAS position serves as the talent development pool for future roles within Roche Support Network.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma and 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or equivalent work experience.
Successful training or certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy.
Knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, and information technology.
Knowledge of basic chemistry.
Preferred Qualifications
This position is field based, customer facing, tool bag carrying position.  To be successful, candidates must be highly self driven and able to work under minimal supervision with the highest level of integrity.   Experience and/or desire to work with one's hands and curiosity for determining root cause following sound troubleshooting methods required.  Ideal candidates thrive as a member of a team and possess excellent communication and customer service skills.  Must be able to follow detailed procedures and document accordingly with an intense focus on quality. 
- 4 year engineering degree (mechanical, electrical, biomedical)
-Must be able to lift up to 50-70lbs.
-Must pass motor vehicle record check.
-Requires good written/verbal communication, organization and prioritization skills, as well as effective customer service skills, which includes a positive attitude and helpful customer interaction.
