ITS Engineering Intern

Yunex Traffic is seeking an Engineer Intern with competitive pay to join our project team in Miami, Florida. Successful candidates will have passion in the ITS road traffic industry preferably in the State of Florida. A successful candidate will be a part of a state-of-the-art ATMS operations team during its implementation and operation phase. This role requires applying engineering best practices in ITS industry, communication skills, as well as a solid background in traffic and transportation engineering.

1- Gain technical experience in the Transportation Engineering discipline.

2- Apply state-of-the-art Intelligent Transportation Systems solutions to enhance traffic operations.

3- Learn to effectively communicate ideas to a diverse stakeholder set.

·      Support the ATMS system integration, review and operation from the Traffic Management Center and manage the ATMS database

·      Support local testing of new databases and validate operations in the field

·      Support vendors in quality assurance and testing

·      Identify and document issues, conduct investigations, provide resolutions, and track issues to completion, document lessons learnt

·      Support traffic signal controller integration, infrastructure upgrade, testing, and deployment

·      Assist in developing, reviewing, and testing new and/or modified traffic signal timing database, as well as evaluation of special operations

·      Support training/development plans and conduct training / transfer of knowledge to customer staff

·      Support testing, configuration, and commissioning services for all deployed technologies

·      Prepare and maintain operations manuals and procedures

·      Contribute to requirements, configuration, and change management

·      Ensure proper management of documentation

·      Identify risks and opportunities and act accordingly

·      Report on the progress of the activities
