Summer 2022 Digital Content Intern
One of the many things that sets our organization apart is our strong commitment to telling the story of our work and those we serve, from digital video and photography to blogs, social media, and more. With 1 in 6 kids in the U.S. facing hunger this year, telling these stories is more important than ever. The Digital Content intern will help create and curate the content that our colleagues and online channels need to advance our brand, raise funds, and drive awareness of the No Kid Hungry campaign’s work to end childhood hunger in America.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review, organize and catalog spring and summer interview transcripts for use in easy to navigate summaries and best-of documents. This may entail conversations with members of our program team to find out the role of No Kid Hungry in supporting our partners.
- With digital content associate, lead a storytelling project following personal and professional interests. Interns will have the opportunity to present the project to the CEO and other Share Our Strength staff.
- Support with interviews as we collect new storytelling content from a variety of stakeholders and partners including food service directors, teachers, chefs, and families.
- Write posts for the No Kid Hungry blog.
- Coordinate with our social media team to distribute and promote posts.
- Brainstorm new and better ways to share stories across our social media channels.
- Support with tagging and cataloging of photos and other assets in our digital asset management tool.
- Partner with the social media team to surface, share and plan for useful stories and assets for the summer and fall campaigns.
- Support with the collection and development of stories of our work, our impact and the need for it, as well as related projects to streamline those efforts.
