Electronics Assembler

This is a regular full-time position (8 hours/day, Monday - Friday) with the responsibility of assembling and wiring simple to complex analog and digital electronics for a manufacturer of scientific instruments (most of the work is single workstation activity in a small department with diverse operations, services, and products).  Safe work habits, attention to detail, accuracy, good attendance and organization, the ability to work and think independently, along with the ability to work cooperatively with others in a positive, professional manner are expected. Benefits include paid holiday, vacation, sick leave, disability, life insurance, employer-sponsored group health, group dental insurances, 401(k) retirement plans and ESOP. Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check will be performed. 

Job Title: Electronics Assembler
Job Level: Craft (Work Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)  

Essential Duties:
1. Assemble electronic devices, printed circuit boards, interfaces, etc.
2. Manufacture interconnecting, multiconductor cables
3. Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications:
1. Prior experience in assembling, soldering and wiring electronic devices in a manufacturing environment preferred
2. Experience reading and working from assembly drawings, schematics, and parts lists
3. Familiarity identifying electronics components (capacitors, resistors, diodes, etc.)
4. Electronics technician experience/training is a plus
5. Skill using common tools (ex. soldering iron, multimeter, screwdriver, pliers, etc.)
6. Average or better ability to read and write in English and to work from written instructions
7. Detail oriented
8. High school diploma or equivalent
