Marketing Intern

ShadeFLA is looking for a Marketing Intern. This is a paid, part-time (25 hours), 12pm-5pm, in-person position. Starting on August 2022!
 
ShadeFLA designs and installs shade sails, cabanas, canopies and commercial-grade umbrellas for hotels, restaurants, parks, playgrounds, schools and high-end residences throughout the United States and the Caribbean. We are a small, woman-owned business with a collaborative work environment.

  • Generate original content such as blog posts, infographics and listicles to post across all digital marketing platforms
  • Regularly post original content or carefully curated content to social media including blog, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn pages
  • Prepare company promotional emails using Robly or MailChimp
  • Update website content to maximize traffic (SEO experience preferred) and track audience using Google analytics
  • Research and update potential client lists of architects, designers, and hotel managers
  • Explore new potential markets and effectively promote ShadeFLA to these markets
  • Prepare PowerPoint Presentations, product guides and other promotional materials
  • Assist with Lunch and Learns or event sponsorships as needed

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years experience in Marketing and Digital Communications including internship experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Public Relations, or related field
  • Experience managing social media and networking sites such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn
  • Experience curating and generating content such as blog posts and infographics
  • Strong background in marketing, public relations, communications or journalism as determined by work or internship experience and relevant coursework
  • Strong background in writing; must have excellent spelling and grammar
  • Self-initiative and ability to work unsupervised
  • Creativity and attention to detail
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and research skills

Additional preferred skills:

  • Photoshop
  • WordPress
  • Bilingual Spanish/English

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, English, or related field
