Media Officer (MED00000U)

The OSCE Program Office in Dushanbe is seeking a Media Officer (MED00000U), a middle manager with a degree in a relevant field, 6+ years of progressively responsible professional experience and 3+ years at the management level. The position requires: excellent command of project cycle management from project development through monitoring and evaluation including financial and narrative reporting; experience in media development, including professional background in media and/or training and in donor/civil society co-ordination; demonstrable organizational, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work under pressure of tight deadlines; demonstrated gender awareness and sensitivity, and an ability to integrate a gender perspective into tasks and activities; ability and willingness to work as a member of a team, with people of different cultural and religious backgrounds, different gender and diverse political views, while maintaining impartiality and objectivity. Desirable: knowledge of Russian and/or Tajik language, both oral and written; previous field experience in Central Asia; knowledge of the regional political situation and the legal environment of the mission area; demonstrated mediation and negotiation skills.
