Landscape Architect / Landscape Designer / Drafter

Design Studio Boca is a boutique landscape architectural Design firm that has been in business over 20 years. We are looking to add a creative and motivated person to add to our firm. DSBoca works on a wide expanse of projects – from luxury high rise condominiums to mixed-use commercial and entertainment venues. The landscape architectural designer will need to be proficient with AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, able to work independently or as part of a team, and have an understanding of the design process to produce drawings and details from Schematic Design through Construction Documents.

Main Responsibilities:
·     Follow hand-drawn sketches and redline markups to develop site plans, conceptual and
schematic plans.
·     Draft all aspects of a project including: hardscape plan, materials schedule, design details,
elevations, planting, and lighting plans in addition to site plan and conceptual plan.
·     Incorporate and update CAD drawings from other consultants (architect, engineer etc.) to set-up
‘external references’ and create project base files.
·     Proficient with Photoshop to develop renderings.
 
Must have skills:
·     Bachelor Degree - in drafting, landscape architecture, or equivalent
·     Plant knowledge of plants common to Florida.
·     Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within landscape
architecture/design. Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook email, Hand
Sketching, Adobe Suite.
·     Experience in working with AutoCAD external reference files, drawing layers and key commands.
·     Experience with landscape material and plant identification knowledge a PLUS
·     Works well under immediate supervision and in a team environment with the ability to take
instruction and implement.
·     Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects in various stages of development
simultaneously.
·     Exceptional level of attention to detail, following instruction, time management skills, and the
ability to stay on schedule and adapt when schedule changes.
·     Strong organization and communication skills.
