Social Media Specialist

COMPANY: Team Horner
REPORTS TO: Marketing Director
FLSA: Exempt
HOURS: Full-time

Position Summary
We are currently seeking a candidate who is an expert in social media marketing. Having the right attitude is critical in this role as well as the ability to multitask. This position requires creativity and collaboration with multiple areas of the business to be successful.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategy Formulation and Creation
  •  Work with each Brand Marketing Coordinator to determine individual brand identities and voices
  • Develop cohesive plans that suit overarching company goals, strategizing tactics to achieve those goals
  • Understand the targeted audience for each social channel (including but not limited to LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok), creating persuasive content that strikes a chord with the intended audience, and unique to the typical interactions of each channel
  • Conduct competitive research, platform determination, messaging, and audience identification
  • Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules to coordinate with new product releases, promotions, sales, events, etc.
  • Formulate informative and appealing content to engage followers
  • Build content that will generate audience interaction, conversation, and engagements for our brands across our digital channels
  • Work with media team to produce multimedia content for social platforms

Campaign Implementation
  • Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
  • Ensure profiles, logos, links, etc. are all actively maintained and updated
  • Publish and share new content (including original text, images, video and code) per editorial calendars that builds meaningful customer connections, increases brand awareness and encourages community members to engage with the brands
  • Ensure posts are scheduled at optimal days and times on specific channels
  • Responsible for paid strategies and adept at using tools such as Facebook Ads Manager or other paid options on various channels

Platform Interaction and Maintenance
  • Answer comments/questions customers or connections may ask in a timely fashion – referring to the website, Customer Service, and salespeople to answer these questions
  •  Monitor and respond to reviews on Google, Yelp, Amazon, Facebook, and any other applicable platforms
  • Identify and consistently monitor target audiences, analyze follower sentiment, and review posts mentioning our brands
  • Bolster our networks by interacting with industry professionals and influencers via social media
  •  Look for brand appropriate, community-created content with the mindset to chime in/engage with it to maintain and broaden the brands’ voices across all social channels
  •  Identify influencers and supporters, spots trends, moderate comments, and establish community culture and tone
  • Ensure consistency of messaging and voice and campaign integration for all marketing assets

Analytics and Improvement
  •  Capture and analyze the appropriate social data/metrics, insights, and social media best practices to measure the success of every social media campaign, then use that information to refine future campaigns
  • Track each channel algorithm and tactics for optimization
  •  Monitor, measure, and report on social media activities and performance
  • Make recommendations for improvements and/or new initiatives to leadership

Miscellaneous
  • Answer phones and transfer calls to appropriate party
  •  Assist with all company events as part of the Marketing Team
  • Active participation in Swimming Pool Trade Organizations (FSPA, ISHOF, etc)

  • Strong understanding of the current digital and social media landscape, including creating content for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms, best practices, success metrics and emerging platforms
  • Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
  • Proven track record of growth on relevant social media platforms
  • Strong social media copywriting and editing skills including grammar, style, and spelling
  • Ability to determine priorities among competing assignments to perform tasks in a timely fashion
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
  • Good eye for design and the ability to create eye-catching content is a must
  • Trend awareness, determining KPIs, and understanding SEO.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  •  Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communications or any other related field is required
  •  Minimum 2-3 years’ experience leading a social-digital platform or working in social and digital communications is required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
  •  Experience using content creation tools such as Adobe Spark, Giphy, and Canva
  •  Pool Industry experience is a plus
