Easterseals Wisconsin Camps – AmeriCorps Member (Respite Apprentice) 
Up to $4,209.26 in program benefits for fulfillment of your term of service, plus room and board, and meals during weekend sessions.
 
Details:
·      Minimum 300 hour term of service requirement
·      $2,750 Living Stipend
·      $1,459.26 Education Award upon successful completion of term

AmeriCorps Respite Apprentices: will provide intensive personal care and direct camper support for campers with disabilities at Camp Wawbeek and Respite Camp.

Previous experience working with people with disabilities is helpful, but not required. Potential candidates should be prepared to serve long days, work as a part of a team, remain adaptable, open minded, and energetic.
 
What to expect: Members receive both formal and informal training, including personal care, program facilitation, AmeriCorps orientation, CPR & First Aide, and conflict resolution, diversity training, and conflict resolution.
 
Camp Dates: The Respite Apprentice- will serve a minimum of 300 hours of service from September 2023- December 2023. This includes serving at least seven (7) weekends and one training weekend (September 15-17, 2023).
