POSITION: Water Resources Engineering Internship
Position Location: Crystal Lake or Chicago, IL

Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for an engineering internship in our Crystal Lake, IL, Mokena, IL, or Chicago, IL offices. This on-the job experience will support the firm’s water resources group with the design and construction of a variety of facilities, and offer the opportunity to work directly with firm clients. A variety of responsibilities and duties will provide a well-rounded background in engineering.
POSITION DUTIES:
- Assisting senior engineers with the evaluation, study and design of Stormwater systems..
- Field work, studies and design of Stormwater infrastructure.
- Collaboration with other technical departments (Infrastructure, Transportation, CADD, etc.…)
- Construction work including quantity computation, construction layout, survey and construction inspection.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ongoing pursuit of a 4-year degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Water Resources or Environmental Engineering
- Maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0/4.0
- Available to start May, 2023
- Ability to travel throughout Chicago area (own transportation)
- Work in a team environment
- Strong written, verbal, computer and organizational skills
