Nuclear Summer Intern - Mechanical/Nuclear Engineering Innsbrook
We are currently seeking an engineer intern for Summer 2023 in the Corporate Nuclear Engineering and Fuel Department’s Mechanical Analysis group located at Dominion’s Innsbrook Technical Center in Glen Allen, VA.
This position is for an engineering intern that will provide engineering support in the Nuclear Engineering Mechanical Analysis group. The intern will perform engineering calculations, analysis, research and design. Under direction of supervisor or work leader, interns will:
• Perform routine assignments designed to develop professional engineering work knowledge.
• Gain familiarity with techniques, approaches, practices and the nature of engineering systems, equipment, etc.
• Develop the ability to apply fundamental engineering principles and techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out sequence of related engineering tasks.
• Limited exercise of judgment is required on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
