Construction Design Intern
Construction Architect
SPN Construction specializes in providing Home Modifications for individuals that are physically or mentally disabled throughout the states of Pennsylvania & Delaware with the vision of expanding throughout the East Coast.
Job Duties:
- Work with the lead architect and clients to assess needs and develop an associated project
- Will be going to sites as an assistant to learn about what a Lead Assessor does in site visits
- Site planning and creating floor plans using AutoCAD
- Review photos of the site to figure out how to modify the space for maximum utilization that fits the needs of the customer as well as regulations
- Researching credible resources for certifications we may need
- Certifications that our company needs/require to operate
- Certifications that will help us gain more knowledge on home modification, construction, or to expand our company.
Intern Profile
- Studying Construction Engineer, Architecture, or related degree
- Good communication skills and creative thinking
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to read, understand, and produce construction drawings and details
- Interest in working in a fast-paced environment
- Must be open to travel to site locations
Start Date - TBD based on the academic schedule
Location - In-Person
Hours per week - 15 hours
Because this is an unpaid internship, students are encouraged to consult with their faculty advisor to determine if this opportunity is eligible for academic credit.
