To meet students where they are, we offer both virtual and in-person internship opportunities for the Spring 2023 semester, and all internships will be part-time (approximately 16-24 hours per week). Because we know it can be challenging to balance coursework and internship commitments, we are now offering interns paid time off for mental health, school exams, and personal holidays.
Job Description
Spring 2023 Internship Program:

- Program Dates: January 17 – April 21, 2023
- Time Commitment: 16-24 hours per week. Exact schedule to be determined based on business need. We will do our best to accommodate course schedules.

Content Distribution is a division of NBCUniversal that drives the North American distribution of the company’s multi-billion dollar television portfolio to cable, satellite and telco providers, as well as live streaming services, and other digital platforms. A key revenue-generator, the division oversees the distribution of NBC and Telemundo owned stations, all of NBCUniversal’s cable entertainment, news and sports networks, and the Olympics. The group also leads the content strategy and development for offerings that include video-on-demand (VOD) and TV Everywhere (TVE).
Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to:
- Digital Products & Operations: The Digital Products Intern will be part of the Content Distribution Digital Products and Operations team. Our team has a mix of technical and non-technical Product Managers, that work together to design, develop, and manage data services that enables our distribution channels to enhanced user experience and content discoverability. Our team is focused on making consumer experiences more relevant by improving the expediency of the supply chain; making consumer experiences more contextual by human-centric content curation through improved metadata usage; and making consumer experiences more inspiring by providing compelling, high production artwork.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the length of the program.
- Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal.
- Must be working from a location within the United States during all hours worked.
Desired Characteristics:
- Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Strong interest in the media industry.
- Motivated self-starter who succeeds in independent and collaborative responsibilities.
- Problem solver who is adaptable and can evolve their thinking as changes occur in the industry to drive business changes.
- Data driven individual who can identify and drive objective opportunities.
- Process driven individual who can identify enterprise solutions for inefficient or ineffective areas.
- Strong verbal, writing, and presentation skills.
- Digital Distribution, Entertainment industry or DTC experience a plus.
- Solid history and examples of Project Management skills.
Additional Requirements:
