Description and Requirements
We are hiring a recent college graduate to join our team in the Morrisville, NC office. This role will require onsite presence. The target start date will be Summer 2023.

Rewarding opportunities awaits you on Lenovo's ISG (Infrastructure Solutions Group) Server Performance team - come join this global performance engineering team. This is an ideal opportunity for a recent college graduate to hone their engineering skills and learn more about how x86 (Intel and AMD) server hardware is developed along with how to measure the performance of the server and it’s subsystems components e.g. CPUs (processors), Memory, networking and storage. Learn first-hand about the latest performance benchmarking tools and hardware tuning methodology / techniques - measuring and validating performance against supplier’s specifications, while working alongside some of the most talented engineers developing the next generation server products. Lenovo’s Global Performance team hold more World Record x86 Server benchmarks than any other x86 server manufacturer worldwide.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Experience with debugging involving hardware, firmware/bios or software
  • Knowledge of Linux-based Operation Systems (RedHat, Suse, Ubunto, and CentOS)
  • Scripting experience such as shell script, Python, etc
  • Ability to swap hardware components (CPUs, Memory, Drives)
  • Have a desire and willingness to learn and apply knew knowledge
  • Ability to work cooperatively with member of the performance team and broader Lenovo team
