Day-to-Day Role:  
  • Participate in an education program of alternating work and study sessions, while attending an accredited college or university, and working towards a bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Receive various tasks and assignments in a structured, yet flexible work and training program within Engineering and possibly other engineering or manufacturing groups
  • Perform non-complex detailed engineering drafting and design work on new or existing machinery using Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems
  • Perform project work focusing on “hands on” involvement, such as in designing, ordering parts, fabricating, modifying, assembling, and testing prototype or production parts, machines, processes, and equipment
  • Perform work associated with software development, testing, and documentation.  Work with technicians and engineers on testing and troubleshooting hardware, network or server problems and documentation of the results
  • Perform engineering calculations, write test reports, assemble technical manuals, and provide training and support to manufacturing facilities
  • Travel to vendors and/or plants, to assist in evaluating parts or verifying equipment operations, and/or production facilities to help inspect, test, or install machinery

Core Skills and Qualifications:
Requires one of the following:
  • Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior status at an accredited college or university and working towards a bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Paper, Plastics, Chemical, Packaging, Material Science or Sustainability) OR
  • Graduating from High School in 2022/2023 with the acceptance to attend an University and study Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Paper, Plastics, Chemical, Packaging, Material Science or Sustainability Engineering discipline

The ideal candidate must possess all of the following: 
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% or more
  • Must be able to work multiple co-op rotations
  • An organized, self-motivated, self-disciplined, and teamwork oriented individual with a good work ethic
  • Good verbal and strong written communication skills
  • Understanding and application of geometry, algebra, trigonometry, statistics, and basic engineering principals
  • Ability to recognize issues and develop possible solutions to non-routine problems
