Digital Media Specialist/Videographer - County Materials

We are seeking a Digital Media Specialist/Videographer for our customer, County Materials, in Marathon, WI.
 
The Digital Media Specialist/Videographer will perform and/or oversees all aspects of the video production process. Collaborate closely with our creative team to plan, film, and edit video content according to work orders. You will showcase your ability to serve as a creative leader in charge of creating footage (videos) that helps showcase our products, services, and corporate culture. You’ll spend your days in the field creating – and in the studio editing – a wide variety of employee features, product demos, testimonials, and live events that help share our story with the world.

Videographer Responsibilities:
  • Understand and define each project’s goal, capture those ideas on video, and turn that into a powerful message.
  • Work closely with creative team to interpret scripts and coordinate different aspects of production.
  • Plan the shoot with the creative team and the client.
  • May storyboard ideas and develop ideas.
  • Film videos on set or on location.
  • Oversee camera operation and ensure that equipment for a shoot is present and working.
  • Interview people and collaborate with others.
  • Direct other camera operators so that the needed footage is acquired.
  • Oversee sound and lighting design and equipment
  • Edit footage in post-production. Add motion or static graphics and perform audio and video editing.
  • Responsible for selecting, cleaning and performing maintenance (including some repairs) on recording equipment.
 
Videographer Requirements:
  • Excellent computer literacy
  • Proficiency with a variety of software products, including Final Cut Pro, Sony Vegas Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Media Encoder, and After Effects, among others
  • Creative and passionate about developing video stories (along with editing film and video) and have an eye for detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to provide clear direction
  • Relative fitness and stamina to work long hours
  • Proficiency with camera equipment
  • Able to troubleshoot problems/issues with the equipment, and/or repair the equipment they use if possible, to avoid downtime
  • Background in cinematography, special effects or art direction is not required but preferred
  • Provide a demo reel with examples of their work and creative style
 
Work Environment
  • Office working environment.
  • Position requires up to 30% travel, predominantly day trips.
 
Physical Requirements
  • Sitting frequently. Standing desk options are available.
  • Carrying/ Lifting 10 - 40 Pounds rarely.
  • Standing / Walking / Climbing occasionally.
 
Experience & Qualifications
  • Associates’s degree from accredited institution in Video or Digital Media Production, Graphic Arts or related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience taking a project from idea generation to final production.
  • Must be proficient in the following software: Adobe Creative Cloud (Primarily InDesign, Illustrator, PhotoShop, Bridge and Acrobat); Microsoft (Word, Excel and PowerPoint); Video (Adobe Premiere, Pro CC, and After Effects CC) Misc (Filemaker Pro, Stuffit, Suitcase Fusion, Titanium Toast).
  • Knowledge of Mac operating system and experience with PCs using Parallels Desktop.
  • Experience with web development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript is a plus).
  • Excellent problem solving and creative skills and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Pro-active, multi-tasked, self-motivated team player and positive attitude is a must.
  • Good driving record.
