Editorial Content Intern

At THS, we believe remarkable talent, enthusiasm, and creative thinking add up to great work. We’re looking for someone with excellent writing and research skills to be a part-time, in-house editorial AI expert.

With the rise of ChatGPT and AI, information has never been closer to our fingertips, and we want someone who can own the written area of our business.

Our Company, Team Havoc Studios, owns brands within Culture, Music, Gaming, and Sports and we want to consistently blog and grow these sectors of our business.

As a member of the creative team, the editor will prompt and edit content for a variety of articles, blogs, and content pieces for our website, working closely with the admin team to brainstorm ideas, develop concepts, and articulate messaging. The most successful candidate(s) will be a quick learner who has a versatile writing style.


Objectives of this role

  • Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround times
  • Raise the bar continually for writing fresh copy that connects with the desired audience and drives action
  • Be adept at varying the voice, style, and other characteristics of messaging based on the industry, company, or target audience
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of communications- and industry trends
  • Stay current on the appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistent messaging


Responsibilities

  • Interpret creative briefs to develop concepts for execution with assigned brands
  • Research and understand an industry's needs and target audiences, through online searches, reviews of existing research, interviews with subject-matter experts, and online meetings
  • Write original copy and edit content for a range of online and web-based materials.
  • Revise copy based on internal feedback


Required skills and qualifications

  • Exceptional writing and research skills
  • Ability to work independently or with a team to meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills and multitasking ability


Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides
  • Experience with content management systems
  • A keen eye for detail and appreciation of great design
