Program Description

Offered at our Corporate Headquarters in Orlando, Florida, and Resort locations across the US; the Architecture & Design Internship Program is designed to last 3-6 months depending upon the participant's availability and the needs of the department. The participants should expect to work a full-time schedule in this program with flexibility for part-time schedules based on participants course schedule. All College Internships are paid at an hourly wage. 

Approximate Start Month: May 2023
 
Length of Internship: 3 months
 
Intern Schedule Hours during Internship Monday - Friday Hours: 8a-5p
 
Internship Location: OOC with the option for a hybrid work model
 
Education, Major, & Year:
-Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Interior Architecture or Interior Design
-Must be at least a rising Junior
Skills:
-Working knowledge of MS suite of office programs (MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint)
-Various meeting programs (Zoom, MS Teams or similar)
-PDF viewing programs (BlueBeam, or similar)
-Working knowledge of industry leading CADD, 3D modeling, sketching, and rendering programs. 
-Ability to draw and sketch by hand a bonus.
-High drawing level capacity along with competency in relevant graphics and design computer programs.
 
General Job Summary
-Support the Architecture and Design team, and/or department objectives, and other tasks as required. 
-Generally, works under close supervision or within well-established guidelines to complete routine tasks. 
 
Specific Job Contributions
Provide design support and graphic presentation assistance for existing renovation projects and new resort development projects.
Assists more senior associates in achieving business results by:
-Utilizing technical knowledge and skills to enhance internal processes.
-Allocating own time effectively to meet goals.
-Support for the inhouse design product library and filing of electronic data.
-Support with note taking/meeting minutes and action items tracking.
-Establishes objective working relationships with MVC Departments and out-source consultants.
-Ability to comprehend and produce graphic materials and drawings to communicate ideas and concepts
-Supports the preparation of concept diagramming and imagery.
-Support for the review of FF+E shop drawings.
-Support for the preparation of presentations to MVC leadership
-Demonstrates an awareness of personal strengths and areas for improvement and acts independently to improve and increase skills and knowledge.
-Performs other duties as appropriate.
