Entry Level Traffic Engineer

Currently, Faller, Davis is seeking a full-time entry level engineering position in the Maitland office. FDA’s engineering team is recognized as one of the preeminent engineering groups in the State of Florida. We are experts in traffic design, roadway design, safety, operations, ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems), and signal timing. Our traffic engineering projects include operational and safety studies, signal retiming, and traffic design (signals, signing and marking, lighting, and ITS). Our roadway design projects range from major reconstruction projects to milling and resurfacing, trails, sidewalks, and maintenance of traffic plans. Responsibilities will include producing roadway, signalization, signing and pavement marking, lighting, ITS, and traffic control design plans utilizing CADD software; developing quantities, cost estimates, pavement designs, 3D modeling, and lane closure calculations; assisting with data collection for traffic engineering studies and design; field work to measure, review, and photo document existing conditions; performing traffic calculations; utilizing computer modeling traffic software; and preparing reports and documentation.

Requirements

·        Good written and verbal communication skills and basic computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
·        0 to 2 years of experience
·        B.S. in Civil Engineering
·        E.I. Certification
·        Previous internship or engineering experience is a plus
·        OpenRoads, Microstation, CADD, 3D modeling, and FDOT (Florida Department of Transportation) design experience is a plus
·        Valid Florida Driver’s License
