Communications Coordinator

We are looking for a Communications Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. The Communications Coordinator will be responsible for creating compelling communications across 13 markets.
 
What's unique about this job (What you’ll do)
 
  • Develop internal and external global communications.
  • Acquire and maintain a detailed knowledge of the company’s policies, principles, and strategies, and keep up-to-date with relevant developments.
  • Design the communications plan which includes topic, tone of voice, visuals, format and layout and distribution plan (channels, timing, etc.), which would then stream external channels and internal communication channels.
  • Create meaningful, relevant, differentiating, and sustainable content that generates awareness, engages and inspires audiences.
  • Position, write and edit materials nimbly and accurately; manage appropriate distribution in partnership with others on the team, the Communications team and/or various corporate teams as needed.
  • Ability to write high-quality speeches, internal memos, and other pieces of communications for external speaking events, employee meetings, video scripts, social media, media by-lines, etc.
  • Help maintain consistency in writing style across Global Resources, adhering to and promoting the divisions writing style guidelines.
  • Ensure proper risk management by compliance with the various applicable rules/laws (e.g., cross-border, data protection, etc.).
  • Stay current on trends, social issues, and industry news, and ensure the messaging reflects prevailing global sentiments and events.

Bring your passion and expertise (Who you are)
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree or experience in Journalism, Communications, Writing, English, or related area preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years communication experience in a corporate or agency setting with strong storytelling skills.
  • A genuine passion writing and communicating, with an impeccable ability to write engaging narrative stories.
  • Expert in AP writing style and superb verbal, writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of English, spelling, grammar and punctuation.
  • A strategic perspective, creativity (can think out of the box), high attention to details, and strong leadership abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and writing skills with editorial and content experience.
  • Strong copywriting and storytelling skills required. Well versed in and strong interest in digital and social media marketing would be highly valuable.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative. Photography, videography and editing skills a plus.
  • Bilingual (English – Spanish) required.
