Director of Enrichment, After School Care, and Summer Programs
Reports to: Head of School 
Contract Status: Full-time, Salary, 12 months
Start Date: 2022-2023 School Year 
 
St. Philip’s Episcopal School is seeking to hire a Director of Enrichment, After School Care, and Summer Programs for the 2022-23 school year. Qualified candidates should be energetic, self-motivated, responsible, fun, and creative individuals who love working with children ages 3-11. The Director of Enrichment, After School Care, and Summer Programs will be responsible for overseeing programming, vendors, registration, billing, and schedules. Candidates should feel comfortable communicating with children, parents, and direct reports. This 12-month, full-time position reports directly to the Head of School.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Grow and expand the existing program to include innovative offerings
  • Demonstrate expertise in navigating school software (training will be provided)
  • Vet, hire and supervise vendors
  • Update and maintain vendors' files
  • Create an Enrichment and Summer Camp schedule and process registration for each session
  • Work with Communications to prepare marketing materials for Enrichment, After School, and Summer programs
  • Responsible for the safety of children in the Enrichment, After School Care, and Summer Programs
  • Maintain a list of children enrolled in the programs at any given time
  • Provide business office schedule and roster of students by grade for billing purposes
  • Manage the ins and outs of all students during program hours
  • School days: from 3:15 p.m. until parent pick-up at 6:00  
p.m. (or the last student has left)
o  Summer Camp hours will be determined yearly 
 
Schedule
  • 5 days per week, hours to be set by the supervisor – generally, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. or until every child is picked up by parent/guardian or as needed during the school year
  • 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or as needed during the summer program
  • At times, the Director of Enrichment, After School Care and Summer Programs will be asked to provide services during teacher workdays or no school days
 
Qualification Requirements
  • Associate/Bachelor’s degree or in the process of obtaining
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in childcare, teaching, or related field
  • Experience in independent school preferred
  • Proven success collaborating with others
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Appropriate written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Technologically savvy
 
Physical Requirements and Work Environment 
  • Able to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Regularly use close and distance vision
  • Work both indoors and outdoors for periods of time
