Engineering Technician

The Florida Keys Aqueduct Aqueduct Authority is in need of an Engineering Technician. Duties: Prepare plans and specification drawings for construction projects, using mechanical and CADD drafting functions. Employees in this classification assemble and correlate data, review developers' plans, and advise customers regarding requirements for water mains and extensions. Employees in this classification also utilize and/or update GIS and GPS data.

Minimum Requirements: Vocational/Technical degree with training emphasis in design engineering; supplemented by three (3) years previous experience and/or training that includes drafting and technical design utilizing recent versions of Autodesk AutoCAD and ESRI GIS; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver's license. Must be able to communicate and comprehend the English language.
