The Global Brand, Creative, and Digital Marketing team is responsible for elevating Akamai's Brand by accelerating relevance and awareness among key audiences and influencers. We craft exceptional messaging and creative content. Applying our expertise to plan and enable cross-functional marketing programs we help deliver measurable business results.

As a participant in our programs, you will gain valuable experience and make contributions through meaningful project work. You will have the opportunity to join us for trainings, networking events, and engagements with company leadership. Our 12-week intern program starts in May, and our 6-month co-op program starts in January or July.
Apply your strategic marketing mindset
On our Content Marketing team you'll have the opportunity to dabble in a variety of hands-on learning opportunities. You'll support our cross-functional team by assisting with outside research, writing internal communications, executing a range of programs and analyzing program effectiveness. By helping to develop our marketing collateral and strategy you help deliver Akamai's top-quality content.
As a Content Marketing Intern, you will be responsible for:
- Curating content for our editorial calendar and quarterly newsletter (live programs, digital components, and release dates)
- Conducting content audits to inform strategic content creation and assessing opportunities for re-purposing content
- Working with metrics to measure content engagement and leveraging findings to refine program strategies
- Partnering with data analysts to continually refine and improve the quality and accuracy of behavior-based audience segmentation
- Working with marketing automation team to ensure digital communications are developed and timed for optimum impact
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Be currently studying in a Bachelor’s degree program in Marketing, Business, Communications or another related field
- Be returning to school after completion of the internship (not graduating before or during assignment)
- Be detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint or similar
- Show experience in marketing operations and marketing data environments (nice to have)
- Have understanding of search engine optimization (SEO), paid search, or biddable media (nice to have)
