Social Media Coordinator - Immediate Need!

At EmpowHERment, our mission is to empower all women by fostering the skills and resources needed to obtain self-sufficiency in finances, mental and emotional wellness, and cultivating relationships. We are a 501(c)(3) registered charity with two community centers for women in Palm Harbor and Clearwater, serving women and families across Pinellas, Pasco, and Hillsborough counties.

After serving nearly 1,000 women and families in 2022, EmpowHERment is looking for a Social Media Coordinator to help us DOUBLE last year’s impact! Social media is our most valuable tool in expanding our community of women, where ALL women are welcome and equal.

We are looking for a candidate who aligns with our mission and values, in addition to the following:

Requirements
  • Experience with Canva or similar graphic design tools
  • Advertising experience preferred, though not required
  • Experience with Wix, WordPress, Squarespace, and similar website-building tools
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok
  • Google Suites and Microsoft Office experience
  • Reliable transportation

Responsibilities
Including, but not limited to:

Social Media Management
  • Design, create, caption, and share daily posts regarding upcoming events and workshops.
  • Use creativity to expand EmpowHERment’s social media reach via Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
  • Schedule and create posts in advance; time management skills are a plus!
  • Create polls and other interactive posts to increase engagement with followers and the community.
  • Respond to direct messages and deliver messages to the appropriate team member.

Website Management
  • Familiarity with (or willingness to learn) Wix.com-powered websites. 
  • Maintain an organized, easy-to-navigate website
  • Share member success stories monthly 

Collaboration with Program Coordinator
  • Add to and update the monthly event calendar on the website as needed
  • Take photos and videos of events/workshops for social media and website purposes

Community Center - Clearwater
  • Front desk duties (answering the phone, taking messages, welcoming members/guests, sharing messages with appropriate team members, etc.)
  • Assist with the technical needs of facilitators and members.

Hours
W, TH, F, 3 - 7:30 PM; Occasional weekends (Preferred, though not required)
Clearwater Location

Rate of Pay
$16/hr
