The manufacturing engineering co-op student works on projects as directed by a senior manufacturing engineer. Projects may involve mechanical, electrical, automation and control, or information systems. The co-op is expected to work 40 hours per week during the co-op semester and may have the opportunity to continue part time during the academic semester as class schedules permit.

Your responsibilities

  • Co-op duties may include:
  • Gathering data for problem solving and process documentation
  • Providing drawings for workplace and plant layouts, tooling and fixtures
  • Delivering project reports and presentations
  • Working with other disciplines

Your background

  • The co-op candidate is seeking a BS in engineering and should have the following skills:
  • Good overall computer skills including MS Office
  • Database, drafting and modeling skills such as AutoCAD
  • / SolidWorks
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills
  • Understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems or a desire to learn and research these areas to gain knowledge.
