Public Relations Intern

Job Description:

EBOTAN is seeking a Public Relations Intern to join our team and support our Public Relations efforts. This role will work directly with our head designer, marketing, advertising and management teams to deliver impactful messages that enhance our brand. The Public Relations Intern will be responsible for all PR related activities including building relationships with local publications, drafting pitches and press releases, securing approvals, and tracking engagement. This role will also collaborate with marketing professionals across social media and other channels to ensure strategies align with EBOTAN’s goals. To be successful in this role, you should be a problem solver, able to multitask efficiently and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
 
Qualifications:
·        Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Advertising, Communications, Marketing, or Business
·        3-5 years minimum experience in Public Relations
·        Being able to translate all that EBOTAN stands for and express in ways that captivate target audience
·        Strong verbal presentation skills, clear communication skills and excellent writing skills
·        Keen awareness and interest in the interior design world and its trends
·        Demonstrate relationship-building experience and strong collaboration skills
·        Advanced Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
·        Ability to multitask and work on projects with multiple deadlines
 
Responsibilities:
·        Collaborate with team members including head designer, marketing and advertising across social media, advertising, and other channels to ensure strategies align to EBOTAN’s goals
·        Deliver impactful messages that enhance our brand in the US and Internationally
·        Responsible for all PR activities including building relationships with local publications, drafting pitches and press releases, securing appropriate approvals, and tracking press hits
·        Monitor local press activity and maintain media lists
·        Build and maintain relationships with media contacts
·        Create unique content opportunities and editorial stories to pitch
·        Track PR metrics and produce basic reports on findings
·        Build and maintain weekly, monthly and annual editorial calendars, track deadlines and pitch media
·        Liaise with all teams including leadership, agents, and marketing
·        Compose press releases and incoming media requests from local reporters and other sources for relevant articles
·        Triage and respond to media inquiries whenever necessary (during and outside of business hours)
