Job Description

We are looking for a graduate EIT engineer to be in responsible charge of projects. Clients are homeowners, architects or contractors needing building permits for residential or commercial projects. Permits require plans conforming to the Florida Building Code. Soil, concrete, masonry, steel and lumber are materials of construction.

Applicant must be able to discuss the client request estimate the time for completion and provide a letter contract for the client to approve. The applicant will have assistance from the licensed engineer, in-house architect and secretary.

Inspections of buildings are sometimes required.

The objective is for the EIT engineer to become a professional engineer and continue the 54 year history of Richardson Engineering into the future.

Richardson Engineering has 54 years experience in Central Florida and elsewhere in Florida. We have done projects at Kennedy Space Center, a 9 story state office building, university buildings and 28 post-tensioned six story beach condominiums. In addition to structural engineering we do site engineering.

We own our own office building in Downtown Orlando.
