To meet students where they are, we will host summer internships in both a virtual and in-person format. Opportunities listed will either be in-person (requiring an intern to work from an NBCU office location 3-5 days per week) based on the location mentioned or virtual, depending on business needs. In addition to all of our internships being paid, we will also offer the following for our Summer 2023 interns:

Summer 2023 Internship Program:

  • Applications Close: March 31, 2023 at 11:59pm ET.

  • Time Commitment: 40 hours per week. Exact schedule based on business need.

The division executes this through innovative physical and digital products, engaging retail and product experiences across our expansive global theme park destinations (for both owned and 3rd party IP), location-based venues, e-commerce product platforms, and retailers around the world. Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to:

Games Finance
  • Will complete projects designed to improve the reporting and analysis of the NBCU Games portfolio
  • Coordinate with Finance Team and Digital Products & Games Team to produce materials for reporting to management and executives.
  • Leverage reports and data to produce analysis on the historical performance of the NBCU Games portfolio

Legal
  • Draft legal correspondence and other legal documents under the supervision of an attorney or paralegal
  • Communicate with internal and external clients and other studio departments regarding contracts
  • Work with the Contract Operations team on deal entries, weekly contract status reports, final contract reconciliation and Product Development tracking and approvals

Human Resources
  • Partner with all members of the HR team to assist with recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and reporting analysis
  • Will assist with creating training decks and organizational charts
  • Will gain exposure to several HR systems and tools

Internal Communications
  • Will partner closely with Global Communications, HR, our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) Committee and others to develop creative assets, website and editorial content for our DE&I internal communication channels.
  • Create engaging internal communication content across multiple channels, such as: website and newsletters; including creation of an all-new internal SharePoint site to house global DE&I news and resources.
  • Partner closely with Global Communications, HR, and DEI Committee team members to define communication needs and execute creative + editorial.

Qualifications


Basic Requirements:
  • Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the length of the program
  • Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits)
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal
  • Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA
 
Desired Characteristics:
  • Students with class standing of junior or above preferred
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Resourceful problem solver
  • Strong communication & presentation skills
  • High level of confidentiality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team player 
  • Fluent in Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office

Compensation: $16.50 per hour
