Budget Resource Advisor

The United States Space Force (USSF) at Schriever Space Force Base (Colorado Springs) is searching for a Budget Resource Advisor (GS-0560-09).

Key Skills and Abilities:

1. Knowledge of commonly used budgetary methods, practices, procedures, regulations, policies, and processes to formulate, justify, and execute assigned budget supporting the employing organization's missions, functions, goals, objectives, work processes, and sources of funding.

2. Knowledge of automated data processing software programs and capabilities used to accomplish budget/funding tasks.

3. Skill in gathering, assembling, and analyzing source of factual information, such as that found in accounting reports, payroll records, work reports, or inventory and supply data.

4. Skill in preparing written forms, schedules, and reports related to the obligation and expenditures of funds.

5. Ability to make oral presentations on the budget, and conduct budget-related training to a variety of audiences.

 

Other Requirements

1. The work requires the employee to occasionally travel away from the normal duty station via military or commercial aircraft.

2. Employee may be required to work overtime.

3. Employee is expected to meet Continuing Acquisition Education requirements.

4. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

5. Relocation expenses are not authorized for this position.

6. Position is not authorized for remote work but is eligible for situational telework.
