Director of Theater
We are seeking a part-time Director of Theater to work collaboratively with the Theater Department in creating an inclusive environment that helps students develop skills of confident self-expression in theater. There is the opportunity to combine this position with others at Westover School to create a full-time role.
Qualifications
- Degree in Acting, Directing, or Theatre Education
- Experience directing high school students
- Experience leading a collaborative team.
Qualities and Responsibilities
- Ability to supportively direct students in one musical and one play each year
- Ability to work collaboratively and guide a team that includes a Technical Theater Director, Music Director, Costumer, and Choreographer in creating a collective vision for each production
- Ability to create and implement a Drama Curriculum
- Includes teaching two classes each week - one intro level and one advanced
- Manage and oversee Drama budget
