Technical Writer Analyst

Job Function Summary

  • Reporting to the Technology Content and Collaboration Team Lead, you will be a Technical Writer Analyst with Atlassian Confluence experience, based in the New York office. We are seeking someone to create clear, client-facing technical documentation, which explains how to use our products, obtain support, and get our latest features. You will work with a variety of technologists, including data scientist, quantitative developers, and cloud engineers. Your work will be delivered to Portfolio Managers (PMs) and other members of the Firm.
Principal Responsibilities

  • We are looking for a motivated self-starter, who is well versed in technical documentation with experience in Confluence (our primary source of PM-facing documentation), including plug-ins such as tabs, tables, draw.io, page includes, page excerpts, and Latex, etc.
  • You aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and engage with extremely busy, smart engineers and developers. You know how to approach various types of people and are persistent. You understand the importance of content hierarchy and taxonomy and know how to organize Confluence pages so that users can easily find exactly what they need.
  • To begin, you will work with key stakeholders to edit and share content with our PMs and other consumers. This requires that you are able to create original content based on interviews, develop hierarchy/taxonomy as well as improve language, confirm content accuracy, check links, meaningfully organize, and assure design consistency.
Qualifications/Experience

  • Internship experience of technology writing and/or documentation experience, in financial services is a plus
  • Atlassian Confluence experience, with HTML and CSS experience a plus
  • Exceptionally high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Pristine written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with proven initiative and ability to work independently and as part of a broader team
  • Proactive and takes initiative while communicating actions/status
  • Ability to engage, communicate, and incorporate feedback quickly and iteratively
  • Template format experience
Millennium pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. The estimated base salary for this position is $70,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future.
