Corporate Communications Content Creator Summer Internship

This position will work primarily with the corporate communications staff to capture stories that reinforce the Davey Company’s mission, vision and core values while aligning with our brand and marketing objectives. This position will be expected to capture these stories in their most relevant medium and relay the final, polished version to a mix of internal and external audiences through a variety of communication channels. This role is required to function well while managing individual assignments but also is expected to collaborate and integrate strongly with a team on larger initiatives. It is necessary for this position to excel at meeting deadlines while keeping multiple projects moving forward simultaneously. Attention to detail and exceptional personal and professional organization is a must.

Primary responsibilities include:

· Interviewing Davey employees in-person, on the phone, on camera, or on teleconference software on a broad scope of topics including but not limited to Davey’s research-driven tree services, grounds maintenance and environmental services provided to clients in the residential, utility, commercial and environmental markets.

· Writing feature stories and news briefs for Davey’s 113-year-old employee magazine, The Davey Bulletin. Acquiring photographs, portraits and other visual elements are included in this responsibility.

· Coordinating internal reviews of final content pieces with members of the corporate communications team and other employees and project stakeholders.
