Corporate Communications Intern

Arthrex is a global medical device company and leader in orthopedics medical education. With a corporate mission of Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™, Arthrex has pioneered the field of arthroscopy and develops more than 1,000 innovative products and procedures each year that support all aspects of orthopedics. The Corporate Communications team at Arthrex global headquarters in Naples, FL is responsible for various communications and employee engagement campaigns. The team is seeking an intern, preferably in their senior year studying communications and/or journalism, to learn about the various aspects of corporate communications with a focus on corporate engagement, employee communications and content creation. The intern should be a strong, good communicator, tech savvy, self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
 
This internship will run from August 2023 – November 2023. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Naples, FL facility.
 
Main Objective:
To provide administrative support and learn the various aspects of corporate communications. 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support employee communications through content creation for employee intranet, newsletters, emails and eboards.
  • Assist in coordinating various corporate engagement efforts, including campus tours, educational programs/seminars and speaking engagements.
  • Manage the employee Years of Service traveling flag program and employee event ticket distribution program.
  • Collaborate with and assist the Arthrex Experience team with HCP and guest planning visits and initiatives.
  • Assist Corporate Communications Team with administrative tasks and duties as needed. 
  • This is an in-office position located in Naples, FL; it is not a remote position.

Education and Experience:
  • Progress towards a college degree in Communications, Journalism or Public Relations required. A college senior or recent graduate required. (Students who have recently graduated are only eligible to work as an intern/co-op up to six months from their graduation date.)
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills required.
  • Excellent time management and project organization skills required.
 
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
Basic to intermediate computer skills. Be able to follow written and verbal direction.
 
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.
