Onboarding Coordinator

Job Description

Overview

Supports facilitator and onboarding staff on all logistical and communication items to execute orientation week. Main point of contact for all new hires coming to orientation week and responsible for any behind the scenes item to allow for a smooth onboarding experience.

Responsibilities

  • Arrange and organize all logistics for new hires arriving on site including but not limited to flight and lodging communication
  • Collaborating with other departments: The coordinator may work closely with other departments such as IT, finance, or operations to ensure that new employees have the resources they need to succeed in their roles
  • Provide exceptional service and go above and beyond to ensure new hires are fully satisfied with their onboarding experience
  • Coordinate logistics for onboarding events, including catering, room set-up, and audio-visual equipment
  • Communicate to new hires prior to arrival all travel instructions
  • Main point of contact for all incoming and onsite new hires
  • Responsible for smooth and streamlined onboarding experience
  • Responsible for communicating any changes to onsite staff and facilitator

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High School Diploma, preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in event coordination or related field
  • Must have coordinating experience whether through events or tours
  • Travel arrangement experience, preferred
Physical Requirements:
 
This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
 
Additional Requirements:
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of onboarding best practices is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other event management software
