PAID INTERNSHIP| MARKETING & CONTENT CREATOR INTERN [CHICAGO LATINO THEATER ALLIANCE]

The intern will gain hands-on experience in creating and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy for a large-scale event. They will learn about the importance of branding, messaging, and audience targeting in marketing campaigns. The intern will also gain valuable experience in project management and working with a team to achieve shared goals.

Intern Responsibilities:
  • The Marketing/Content Creator Intern will be responsible for assisting the Director of Communications create a multi-pronged marketing schedule/campaign for DESTINOS: Chicago International Latino Theater Festival.
  • This will include creating engaging content for social media platforms, writing press releases and creating marketing materials, and designing
  • promotional campaigns.
  • The intern will work closely with the festival organizers and other marketing team members to ensure that the marketing strategy is in line with the festival's goals and objectives.
  • Develop and execute a social media strategy to promote all festival productions, including creating content for social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
  • Create promotional campaigns to attract potential festival attendees, such as giveaways or special discounts.
  • Assist in managing the festival's website, including updating event information and optimizing content for SEO.

Qualifications:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience with social media platforms and content creation.
  • Knowledge of basic graphic design principles and experience using design software.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools such as Google Analytics.
  • Spanish Fluency.


INTERNS WILL WORK ONSITE 28 HOURS PER WEEK AND ATTEND A MANDATORY OFFSITE PROGRAM DAY ONE DAY PER WEEK WITH THEIR COHORT.


INTERNS MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR THE DURATION OF THE PROGRAM.

INTERNSHIP DURATION:
  • Total Weeks: 9 weeks
  • Work Hours per Week: 28 
  • Total Hours: 252
  • Workdays: 4 days per week onsite

PROGRAM DAY:

  • On the 5th day of each week, interns will attend an offsite program day with their cohort.
  • These hours are separate from the internship hours.
