Digital Services Assistant

Food For The Poor, one of the largest international relief and development organizations in the nation, does much more than feed millions of the hungry poor primarily in 17 countries of the Caribbean and Latin America. This interdenominational Christian ministry provides emergency relief assistance, clean water, medicines, educational materials, homes, support for orphans and the aged, skills training and micro-enterprise development assistance. Overall Responsibility:
The Digital Services Assistant will support our digital marketing initiatives and online fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate will have a passion for social justice, hunger and poverty alleviation, and experience with digital marketing.
Duties:
  • Assist in the planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media, and website updates.
  • Create social media content and graphics for various platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Assist in analyzing and reporting on the effectiveness of campaigns and recommend improvements.
  • Help manage and update the organization's website, including creating new pages, updating existing content, and ensuring website functionality.
  • Assist in the development of fundraising campaigns, including creating content for donation pages, email appeals, and social media campaigns.
  • Conduct research on digital marketing trends and recommend new strategies to improve our online presence and fundraising efforts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the fundraising and communications teams.
 
Education and Experience: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
Skills:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing concepts, including email marketing, social media, and website management.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and InDesign.
  • Experience with content management systems such as WordPress.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail.
