Automation Engineer

We currently have an exciting opportunity available for an Automation Engineer Intern!
 
The Automation Engineer Intern will be responsible for a 10-week project assigned by the Intern Sponsor by the end of the internship.

ASSIGNED PROJECT:
•       Develop automation for an existing visual inspection process to improve productivity and efficiency.
•       Improvements to include automated light curtain, timer, and tracker for movements.

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS:
•       Educational Background: Pursuing a degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
•       Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of automation systems, control systems, and programming languages relevant to the biopharmaceutical industry. Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) or FDA-regulated environments is a plus.
•       Laboratory and Bioprocess Experience: Prior experience or coursework related to bioprocess engineering, laboratory automation, or the integration of automation systems within a biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
•       Familiarity with software tools, such as CAD (Computer-Aided Design) programs, simulation software, or programming environments like MATLAB or LabVIEW, and any other tools commonly used in the biopharmaceutical sector.
•       Regulatory Awareness: Basic understanding of the regulatory landscape in the biopharmaceutical industry, including FDA regulations and guidelines, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and other relevant quality control standards.

EXPECTATIONS:
•       Attend and actively participate in team meetings.
•       Work closely with the Project Sponsor and Packaging team to maintain a positive, safe, and clean working environment.
•       Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety procedures.
•       Successfully complete the project assigned by the Intern Sponsor within a 12-week internship.
