Landscape Construction Division Manager

Position Type: Full Time, Exempt
Pay Range: $95,000- $120,000 commensurate with experience.
Location: Sterling, VA

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated professional to join our team as the Design-Build Division Manager. In this role, you will lead and manage our Design-Build team to ensure safe and effective execution of our client service processes.
 
You will oversee safety, training, quality assurance, and budget management (aka profitability) as it relates to the coordination of our landscape installation and construction projects.
 
The ideal candidate should possess technical expertise and experience in the areas of landscape construction, project management, and personnel management. Keen attention to detail, proficiency in technology/software, and effective communication skills are essential. Previous leadership experience and expertise in residential landscape construction are preferred. Key Responsibilities:
·      Lead, Manage and Accountability – Lead, manage, and hold team members accountable to effective execution of our client service process.
·      Talent Management - Recruit, hire, train, develop, retain, coach, and/or terminate personnel.
·      Client Experience - Understanding that the happiness of our clients (and team members) is our #1 goal.
·      Quality Assurance – Inspect what we expect from our team’s delivery of products and services.
·      Training and Safety - Facilitate comprehensive training to ensure our team possesses the knowledge and skills to perform their work in a safe way that delivers on our high standards of quality.
·      Budget Management/Profitability - Track job costs with our project managers to ensure we deliver our projects on budget and on time.
·      Revenue Capture – Establish project timelines and hold our team accountable to delivering on a deadline.
·      Logistics Management – Ensure the optimal use of company resources (e.g., team, machinery/equipment, subs, vendors, etc.).
 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
·      Fluency in reading landscape contracts and designs and approving execution strategy.
·      Proficiency in leveraging technology/software (e.g., Aspire, Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Excel, and Asana for project management).
·      Expertise in the installation and/or construction of:
o  Landscape Plantings.
o  Pools, Spas, and Water Features.
o  Fireplaces and Firepits.
o  Structures: Decks, Screened Porches, Pool Houses, Pavilions, and Pergolas.
o  Patios, Walkways, and Retaining Walls.
o  Outdoor Kitchens.
o  Landscape Lighting.
o  Drainage Solutions.
·      Management skills to complete performance reviews and guide individual/team development, including take corrective measures, as required.
·      Knowledge of OSHA regulations and legal codes for project management team training.
·      Ability to monitor project progress reports, including cost tracking.
·      Keen attention to detail.
·      Effective communication and problem-solving capability.
 
Preferred Education/Certification/Experience:
·      Previous experience in a leadership position (3 years).
·      Experience managing a team (5 years).
·      Experience in residential landscape construction, including project management and field operations (5 years).
·      Bachelor’s Degree (especially in a related field) is a plus.
·      Possess or willing to obtain industry certifications (MCLP, MCA, PEST, ICPI, etc.)
·      Valid Driver’s License (Clean Record).
·      Bilingual (Spanish and English) is a plus.
