Spring 2024 Business Intern - Graduate/MBA

Spring 2024 Business Internship Opportunities

Interns will work closely on projects with our business units. The internship is 15 weeks and begins on January 8.

Internship Focus Areas

As a business intern, you may contribute to the following project areas. Please note your primary interest in your application. Be sure to tailor your resume to the project area that matches best to your interests.  

Strategy & Market Research:

As part of our small, passionate team, you will utilize your skills in market research, data analysis and strategic thinking to help us shape our company and program strategic objectives. Example responsibilities may include the following: gathering and synthesizing market research to inform strategy decisions; mapping and understanding industry landscape and competitive dynamics; collaborating with departments to ensure alignment on and execution of strategic recommendations.

Corporate Development:

As part of our small, passionate team, you will help us by performing financial analysis, supporting merger & acquisition process execution, and implementing operating system improvements for the team. Example responsibilities may include the following: partnering with business units on inorganic growth opportunities with financial analysis, due diligence, deal structuring, and valuation.

Finance:

As part of our small, passionate team, you will help us develop corporate and business unit financial analysis and support the execution of our growth initiatives. Interns will work closely on projects with our business units New Shepard, New Glenn, Blue Engines, and Space Systems Development by providing analytical support to inform leadership decision-making on projects related to Finance. Example responsibilities may include the following: shaping our company’s program financial & strategic objectives; gathering and synthesizing financial data and leading indicators of performance to inform decisions; developing and delivering content for financial reviews with leadership; developing business cases to advise on investment decisions.

Technical Sales:

As par to four small passionate, team, you will combine your engineering background to a sales environment. You may interface with customers and internal technical engineers. You’ll apply your ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences. This project would be ideal for someone who is currently pursuing their MBA and has obtained a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • Currently enrolled in an MBA program and have at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship.
  • Strong quantitative skill set and attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to structure and apply analytical frameworks to solve problems.
  • Aptitude for teamwork with shown potential for leadership.
  • Strong written communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Available to work full time for the duration of your internship while not concurrently enrolled in coursework.
Desired:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, engineering, or other highly analytical field.
  • Demonstrated leadership in a professional setting to deliver results that have a positive material impact.
  • Understanding of the private space industry.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team.
