JOB DESCRIPTION:
The research technician in the Phinney lab will perform, under supervision, many biological and biochemical tasks including performing biochemical assays, tissue culture, maintaining mouse colonies, and performing data analysis. The successful candidate must be organized and meticulous in maintaining laboratory records. The research technician will focus on the development of therapeutics against triple negative breast cancers. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain cell cultures, performing RT-qPCR, and other in vitro experimentation.
  • Work in a vivarium setting handling mice including maintaining colonies, surgical procedures, and dissection of mice. 
  • Discuss data and other matters with supervisor and participate in lab meetings. 
  • Prepare data for publication(s). 
  • Perform all other duties as assigned. 

EXPECTED SALARY:
Commensurate with experience.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
               
Bachelor's degree in appropriate area of specialization or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
