Job Description
This position is with Bosch Automotive Steering. This position will support production areas in regards to line balancing, OEE and time study solutions orientated from the human element. Candidate will work hand in hand with engineering staff as well as production floor operators.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include but not limited to the following.
- Identify, analyze and implement improvements in cost, quality, safety, delivery, and productivity.
- Evaluate and improve people, material and information flow in all aspects of value stream and all areas of responsibility (manufacturing, logistics, and support operations).
- Measure and improve work methods and maintain time standards using Methods Time Measurement (MTM or MOST), stopwatch time studies and work sampling studies.
- Design, evaluate and improve manual jobs using ergonomics best practices and analytical techniques.
- Perform ergonomics assessments in order to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
- Develop and maintain process documentation (Set-up Instructions and Standardized Work Instructions).
- Lead and/or provide input for the specification, design, build and launch of new processes.
- Incorporate needs of Production into project and process activities.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
- Student currently enrolled in engineering related Bachelor degree program, preferably Industrial Engineering
Qualifications/Competency:
- Previous experience with lean manufacturing tools and/or manufacturing environment preferred
- Skills in Microsoft Office, (Excel, Access, Power Point and Word)
- Organized, proactive, self-starter
- Communication Skills
- Effectively communicate with different levels of associates and cultures
- Ability to work with workshop personnel
- Strong project management skills
