Full Season Stage Management Intern

The Naples Players is searching for motivated, confident, and creative theatre artists for our Full Season Internship Program. Interns will work closely with the professional full-time staff members in mounting the summer 2023-2024 season. Qualified interns will have the opportunity to assistant, co, or fully stage manage for KidzAct, Blackbox, or Main Stage shows throughout the season.

TNP's 2023-2024 season offerings from August to May: The Dining Room, Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley, The Marvelous Wonderettes, It's a Wonderful Life (Radio Play), Harvey, The Fantasticks, Laugh Cry Pee Repeat, The Producers, and The Play That Goes Wrong . Special events, rentals, and readers theatre, and two unannounced student shows will also be a part of the programing.

The internship is approximately a 9 month program, with housing located walking distance to the theatre and downtown Naples. Start and end dates are negotiable.

Positions available stage management only. 

All interns have day to day check ins with their department heads to establish daily and weekly tasks, then a once a month evaluation with the Internship Director of the Director of Education to ensure both student and company goals are being reached. All interns are also provided with workshops throughout the season which can include: Resume/Cover Letter & Branding, Hydraulic Lift & Rigging Training, CPR/AED & First Aid, Crowd Control, and Cross Departmental Training Days.

Requirements:
Minimum 18 years of age 
Recent graduate, or enrolled full or part time at a college or university with an intent of graduating
Majoring/minoring in Theatre or Theatre Education, or applicable degree
Basic knowledge in area of interest

The Naples Players is a one of the largest non-profit community theaters in the nation, located in scenic downtown Naples. The Players produce 6 plays, 3 musical, reader’s theatre, and multiple children’s show every season. It consists of a professional full-time staff or 35 with experience ranging from regional theatre to off-Broadway and international. The Naples Players is devoted to their community and relies on the generous volunteers who eagerly participate in every department to create each season.

TNP is in the middle of a 20 million dollar renovation of their home theater. Construction is under way and set to complete May 2024. Internship and Fellowship participants will be actively involved as the company navigates and plans through the renovation phase of the campaign. TNP is currently performing in several offsite locations. Ideal candidates will possess the ability to be adaptable as we work to bring high-quality theater to all communities of Naples.
