What you can expect from H.B. Fuller's Internship Program:
You’ll be joining a cohort of talented students from a variety of schools across the U.S. We hire interns into the following positions: Process Engineering, R&D, Strategic Sourcing, Technical Sales, Supply Chain, Product Marketing, Information Technology, and more.
The projects we task our interns to lead are impactful and meaningful to our organization. You’ll be supported by your Manager and Mentor to gain in-depth knowledge of the adhesive industry and collaborate with various departments and functions. We also offer an established path for next-level opportunities - making this internship the starting point for a long-term career path.
Internship Location: Chagrin Falls, OH.
Our Internship Experience includes:
- 12-week paid program beginning the end of May to mid-August to gain insight and knowledge in your field.

Position Overview:
- Develop/Implement/Refine/Improve process controls and standardized work / inspection instructions that properly reflect activities
- We are a manufacturing and warehouse location SE of Cleveland Ohio.
- We manufacture 2-part adhesives and patch & seal tape for the construction, RV/Truck & Bus and consumer markets. We down pack our products based on the customer needs / requirements
Responsibilities:
• Obtain, correlate and analyze technical information.
• Assist in preparing for future projects by requesting the purchase of needed materials, parts and equipment to maintain an appropriate inventory supply level.
• Assists in solving problems with production and process control involving instrumentation, control circuits, and power distribution.
• Maintains required electrical, instrumentation, and communication network drawings, records, and documentation.
• Monitor methods and equipment with a view on improving performance and efficiency.
• Assist in developing and implementing departmental plans.
• Assist in identifying courses of action to improve safety and operational efficiencies.
• Clearly articulate ideas or issues to management.
Required Skills:
• Graduate or student actively pursuing a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial and Systems Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
• Understanding of electrical drawings, basic PLC connection and operation, and HMI.
• Ability to be a self-starter, be self-directed, and take initiative to move forward with ideas; must be able to work with and influence others.
• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) with professional decorum.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical and judgment capabilities to anticipate issues and provide solutions.
• Ability to work effectively and independently in a team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Must have basic project management skills.
• Prior internship or Co-op experience in heavy industry beneficial.
• Positive attitude to achieve goals and deliver results.
Physical Environment:
The facility is 60K sqft – The manufacturing/warehouse portion of the facility is not air conditioned, while the QC lab area is temperature controlled. On occasion, you may be lifting boxes/material that range from 10-50lbs. Safety glasses and steel/composite toe shoes are required throughout the facility and specialized PPE is required in some areas of the 2-part mixing departments.
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.
The salary for this role is $21.00 - $23.00 per hour based on college major. In addition to your salary, H.B.
