Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering Intern - Summer 2024
We currently seek a total of three (3) Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering Interns to join our Aerospace team this Summer 2024 in Merritt Island, Florida.
As an interns in RS&H’s Aerospace and Equipment Service Group, the qualified candidate will collaborate with specialized design teams on studies and designs of systems engineering and ground support equipment supporting the Aerospace industry. Duties will include fabrication shop site visits, performing engineering calculations, analyses, development of drawings and specifications, and on-site client support. An understanding of launch and space vehicle systems requirements is a plus and excitement for supporting space exploration is required. The successful candidates will have a demonstrated ability to work as an integral member of the team.
Qualifications:
- Current or pursuit of Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university, or equivalent degree
- Working knowledge and ability to use AutoCAD, NASTRAN, CREO, SolidWorks, or other CAD platform
- Ability to work within a multi-discipline engineering team
- A motivated self-starter that accepts new challenges with an open mind and maintains a great attitude
- Strong work ethic aligning with the company’s mission and core values**Due to the nature of client projects, US citizenship or permanent legal residency is required**
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2.5 GPA or above
- Upperclassman or Graduate student, due to graduate between Dec. 2024 - Dec. 2025
- Prior internship experience
- Experience with ground support equipment, fluids design, or mechanisms design
- Engineer In Training certification
