Manufacturing Engineering Intern (6051)

Qorvo’s Internships are offered in our High Performance Analog, Advanced Cellular, Connectivity and Sensors, and Global Operations business groups. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Translate NPI development requirements into manufacturing targets (cost, cycle time, quality) 
  • Create new innovative systems and processes to satisfy business needs 
  • Monitor, analyze, report and continuously improve work center KPIs 
  • Lead factory yield root cause and corrective action efforts 
  • Use quality methods to monitor and maintain process controls 
  • Develop, route, and maintain controlled documents (work instructions, procedures, certifications) 
  • Contributing team member for process development, continual improvement efforts, control plans, FMEA’s and process standardization for the existing and future equipment to be used in Test Ops
  • Contributing team member for equipment performance tracking, handler vision (AOI) yields, AOI improvement projects and equipment upgrades and modifications
  • Support and contribute to new equipment capital requests projects

 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Currently pursuing a BS, MS in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a 4yr engineering program
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 
  • Knowledge of LEAN philosophy, problem solving tools (8D, 8Step, A3) 
  • Self-Starter with strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
